FOR TIRED EYES.

How many of you, I wonder are troubled with tired eyes at present? I refer not to the organic fatigue which indicates eyestrain and the need for spectacles, but to the screwed-up wrinkled feeling that follows overlong sojourns in smokeladen, close atmospheres and in artificial light. It is very much a common condition, and symptoms are creepy eyelids, lines in the neighborhood of the eyes, and a slight puffiness that dwarfs the size of the eyes and detracts from their charm. Also, when the eyes are tired the tendency is to draw the brows together and thus etch the frown-like line 6 which develop vertically above the nose. Another argument in support of a little extra attention! You will find the tired condition more pronounced after a busy day. And here's the remedy. Soak two pads of cotton wool in water as hot as you can bear and place these over your closed eyes. As the pads become cool replace them with others. A teaspoonful of ordinary salt to half a glass of hot water makes a refreshing solution in which the pads can be dipped instead of in plain water. After a few minutes of this treatment, saturate two fresh pads with witch hazel, place these over the eyes and lie down for a few minutes, completely relaxing. You will rise feeling wonderfully rofreßhed, with the eyes cool and rested.

It's good to always apeak well of yourself, as your friend* will attend to the other side of it.
