Football
The B-grade matches will be continued next Saturday when Moa Creek play at Galloway, Poolburn at Cromwell, Clyde at Lowburu, and Alexandra at Matakanui. Clyde-Karnseleugh B were fortunate in their game with Cromwell on Saturday that they controlled the scrums, otherwise Cromwell's score of 25-0 might have been much bigger. The opening stages were fairly even, but halfway through Cromwell took charge, and in the second half piled on the points in fast open play. Some of the tries were neat efforts. Bob Wishart's was perhaps the gem. From behind halfway he short-punted into a gap and raced through to regain possession and score at the posts. "Scobie" gained a round of applause wlieni three men coald not hold him up under the posts, and also, when at the request of barrackers, he confidently placed two goals when the "heads" had missed several shots. A. Campbell and Jolly, two light forwards, played fine forward games for Cromwell. Mr R. Thomas was referee.
