When 1 was a young man I had been reading that a fellow should never marry into a family where there was a taint of insanity. So, for the sake of future generations I decided that whatever my heart urged me to do my mind should be on guard. When the lady of my choice said ‘ Yes ’ I dutifully sought the fathet. Majbe I was too precipitate. At any rate, this is what I said “ 1 Your daughter has promised to marry me.
