POSTAL INFORMATION

*_ Letters aud Letter Cards. Letters within New Zealand, Id fur the first lozs or fraction thereof, and -£d for each succeeding 2ozs or fraction thereof. For United States of America, Id for each oz. or fraction thereof, to include Pago Pago and Hawaiian Islands, Porto Rico and Alaska. For United Kiugdom, British possessions, and other places enumerated in schedule at Post Office, Id for eaoh oz. or fraction thereof, for places not named, 2Jd for each oz., and ljd for each succeeding oz. Newspapers, Within the Dominion l-2d for each newspaper, to Australia South Sea Islands Canada, Id. To United Kingdom, Id by direct steamer, by other routes, Id for first Bozs, and l-2d each additional 2ozs. To other countries, for tho first 4ozs, Id, each additional 2ozs, l-2d. The weight of newspapers is restricted to 20ozs for eacli copy, for each lOozs or fraction thereof an additional l-2d. Postal Notes. One shilling, Is 6d, 2s. 2s bd, l-2d, 3s to sd, Id; 10s up to 20s, 2d. Magazines —«**• Magazines (not registered), all places lc each 2ozs. Magazines (registered) within the Dominion, Id for each 16ozs or fraction thereof; Australia (except Queensland and West Australia) under 2ozs, 1 -2d; 2ozs to Bozs, Id; each additional 4ozs, l-2d; Queensland, West Australia, and other places, l-2d each 2ozs. As a moans of enabling the sender of a letter addressed to a place abroad to prepay the postage on a reply, the Department issues reply coupons on payment of a fee of 2 l-2d. These coupons may be exchanged for a postage stamp of the value of 2 l-2d in any country which adopts the scheme. Post Cards. Inland, single, l-2d, reply Id ; a 1 other places Id and 2d. Parcel Post. Maximum weight, 111b; greatest length 3ft; greatest length snd width combined 6ft. Inland, 4d for first lb, aud 2d for each succeeding lb or fraction thereof. United Kiugdom, not exceeding 31b. Is; not exceeding 71b, 2s; not exceeding 111b, 3s. Australian States 8d for first lb, and o'd for every succeed ing lb or fraction thereof up to 111b. Registration. Universal fee of 2d to all places. The sender of a registered article may obtain acknowledgment of its due receipt on payment of 2 l-2d. Patterns and Samples. Inland, not exceeding 2ozs, 1-2(1 over sozs, same as for other places. All other places, not exceeding 3ozs, Id; every additional 2ozs, l-2d. Money Orders Up to £5, 3d ; above £5 to £lO, 6d • above £lO to £ls, 9d; above £'ls to £2o' Is ; above L2O to £25, Is 3d ; above £25 to £3O, Is (id; above £3O to £35, Is 9d above £35 to £4O, 2s.
