Stamp Duties,

Agreement or Memorandum of Agreement other than lease or deed, Is. Annual License is to be taken out Chartered, Incorporated, or Joint Stock Company carrying on business in New Zealand, Is per cant, on nominal capital—duty not over £2OO for one Company. Appraisement or Valuation, not exceeding £2O, Is ; £SO, 2s 6d ; £IOO, 5s ; £2OO, 10s ; £SOO, 15s ; over £SOO, 20s. Assignment of Transfer of Miners - or any Shares—Where amount does not exceed £2O, Is ; exceeding £2O and not exceeding £SO, 2s 6d ; for every additional £SO or part of £SO, 2s 6d. Appointment in Execution of power over property, other than a will, 10s. Appointment of new Trustee or Trustees, 10s.

Award, not exceeding £2O, Is ; £SO, 2s 6d ; £IOO, 5s ; £2OO, 10s ; £SOO, 15s ; £IOOO, 20a ; over £IOOO, 355. Bills of Exchange—Payable on demand. Is; payable otherwise than on demand, not exceeding £25, 6d ; exceeding £25 and not exceeding £SO, Is ; for every additional £SO or part of LSO, Is. Bills of Lading, Is. Cheque, for any amount. Id. Certificate of Incorporation of Company, L 5.

Declaration as Affidavit For every person declaring, 2s 6d. Deed of any kind whatever not otherwise charged, 10s. Conveyance on Sale—For every LSO or part of LSO, of the amount or value of the consideration for sale, 7s 6d.

Lease or Agreement for a Lease, or any written document for the tenancy or occupancy of any lands, tenements, or heriditaments—ln respect of yearly rent not exceeding LSO (without premium), 2s 6d and for every additional LSO or part of LSO, 2s 6d. In consideration of a sum of money by way of premium, without rent—Same as Conveyance on Sale. In consideration of a sum of money by way of premium, and also of a yearly rent— On amount of premium—Same as Conveyance on Sale, and on the yearly rent when amounting to L2O or upwards—Same as on lease, (See above). Notarial Act.—For every Notarial Act of any kind (except protests or injury to ship or cargo). Is ; for every maritime protest in respect of damage to ship or cargo, 2s.
