REPORTED SUCCESS OF AN EXPEDITION. Melbourne, May 23. Baron Sir Ferdinand Von Mueller, the well-known botanist, has received a German paper called the German and Australian Post, which publishes a statement that a party from the Arctic exploring ship Algir has reached the North Pole, aud Baron Muller is inclined to believe that the information is authentic, The paper says the Pole was reached by meaus of au aluminium boat on wheels after a long journey.
