HAWEA FLAT,
[FROM AN OCCASIONAL CORRESPONDENT.] The Cadzow-Noill company gave an entertainment here on the 17th inst., which was a perfect musical treat. It is no exaggeration to say that no such talent has visited this part of New Zealand before. Madame Cadzow, as a pianoforte player, has no superior in the colony, and her contributions to the entertainment earned for her the unusual compliment of two recalls. Mr Cadzow, as a vocalist, is at home at everything musical—“from grave to gay, from lively to severe,” and his genial manner, in addition, won all hearts; while Mr Neill, as a highly cultured bass, completed the best company that has yet visited this district. The feeling about the Cadzow-Neill company hero is a strong desire to make their acquaintance again, at an early date.
