COUNT ZEPPELIN.
It is now 23 years since Count Zeppelin began to devote his attention to the study of aircraft. "I intend 'o build a vessel," he announced, "which will be able to travel to places which cannot be approached'—or only with great difficulty—by other, means of transport; to undiscovered coasts or interiors; in a straight line across land and water, where ships are to be sought for; from one fleet station, to another, carrying persons or despatches; for obeervations of the movements of hostle fleets or armies, not for active particir Wtion in the operations of actual warflare."
