A GALLERY SUGGESTION.
' Upon the stage of a small East end theatre a death-struggle between two shadowy figures is being enacted with much gasping and shuffling, accompanied by approximately weitd music from the band. The struggle waxes fiercer, and at last reachps its culmination by one of the antagonists crashing heavily to the stage. The other starts back, gasps harder than ever, and in an agonised stage whisper, says : ' Good Heavens! What have I done V But a voice from the gallery fairly knocked the bottom out of the effect by shouting : ' Strike a blooming match and 'ave a look !*
