MRS ROBERT ROBSON.

Many in the district will regret to learn of the death of Mrs B. Robson, which event took place at Kaihiku on Wednesday afternoon. Mrs Robson arrived in the Colony along with her husband in February, 1852. They resided for a time at Horseshoe Bush, where Mrs Robson's hospitality was extended to many travellers in those days. They subsequently removed to Whitelea, which property Mr Robson had purchased, and -where they continued to reside till Mr Robson's death, which occurred about 13 years ago. For the past 10 years Mrs Robson has resided with her daughter, Mrs James Ayson, Kaihiku, and for a number of years has practically been an invalid. Although thus laid aside, her invariable cheerfulness of disposition and deep piety never forsook her, and was the admiration of all who came into contact with her. Mrs Robson had four of a family — three sons and one daughter. Two of the sons were accidentally drowned during their residence *at Whitelea'; Walter, the remaining son, is now a resident of Hawkes Bay, and her daughter resides at Albert Downs, Kaihiku. The funeral takes place to-day at 1 o'clock.
