Eatakui. — The annual meeting of householders was held in the schoolhouse on Monday evening to elect a school committee for the ensuing year. There were nine nominations, and the following gentlemen were nominated : — Messrs Findlater 12, Stansfield 11, Callahan 10, Carlton 9, Allen 9, William, son 8, White 8, Moir 8, and Warnock 7 ; the first seven being elected. The former com* mittee were elected an<? two others, the attendance at the school having increased so much during the past year. The balancesheet was read and was very satisfactory, showing a balance in hand of over L 4. Waitepeka.— The new committee consist of the following named gentlemen : Messrs John Somerville, John Grant, James Lamond, John Stewart, Archibald Morton, John C. Somerville, and Rev. A. M.
