Pipers compete
Pipers from throughout New Zealand gathered in Christchurch at the weekend to compete in the Silver Chanter Solo Piping Championships. The championships were organised by the Highland Piping Society of Canterbury Incorporated and held at St Andrew’s College. A world-class competition piper, Mr Scott MacAulay, from Canada, was the overseas invited judge at the competition. The results are: A grade: Piobaireachd, B. Switalla 1, J. Hanning 2, A.
