Sir, — When a poor unfortunate man demands a gun, to defend himself against two imaginary K.G.B. men, the unfeeling among us laugh, and the caring realise that he needs psychiatric help. Quite rightly, no-one actually gives him a $lOO gun to defend himself against his Yet, when the
Stephen Wrathalls, Sue Hunts and John Pallots, et al, demand frigates to defend themselves against thousands of imaginary K.G.B. men, what do we do? We do not laugh at them, or say that they need psychiatric help — we actually give them SIB frigates to defend themselves against their imaginings!
