‘Gloss’ gets go-ahead

The consultant head of programmes for Television New Zealand, Ron Haynes, has given the goahead to run “Gloss” for the entire 24 episodes of the fourth series. "Gloss” was to have finished screening on October 25, but now the top-rating home-grown soap opera will continue in its weekly Wednesday night slot until January 17 next year.

Haynes believes that the programme should carry on, consolidating and building its audience. “ ‘Gloss’ is doing very well in the ratings and we want to keep it going on a long run,” says Haynes. Currently “Gloss” is drawing 18-19 per cent of the viewer audience and in early September reached number 39 in the ratings.
