Labour policies
Sir, —In recent weeks we have had revealed what we suspected back in September or October when the Labour Party and the Labour Government were patching up and making up; namely, that the new accord was only a veneer. Since that time the Labour Party has joined with the Opposition against new moves to further reduce the living standards of the senior citizens. It has also opposed this recovery tax from graduates. No doubt it will also oppose further reductions in the number of post offices now rumoured to be in the policy pipeline. The party also opposes the Anzac frigate policy and, in doing so, represents the minds of thousands of New Zealand people. I applaud the work of the Labour Party. Unfortunately, it is the Labour Government that will be asking for my vote next year. — Yours, etc.,
F. V. McCLIMONT. February 22, 1989.
