Mare trials in 1:58.9
The C 3 mare, Out Of Time, which has a booking to the Nero stallion, Clever Innocence, timetrialed over one mile at the Ashburton trials yesterday in 1:58.9. The six-year-old Out To Win mare ran her last half mile in 59.7 s and closing quarter in 30s for reinsman, Ricky May, while the mare’s part-
owner and trainer, Barry Ward, drove a galloping prompter.
Out Of Time pulled a Regal Azimo speed sulky, the same brand used by Rowleyalla in his 1:52.6 time trial at Albion Park in July. The Regal Azimo sulky is wider than the conventional racing carts used in New Zealand.
