Merino expert to speak
One of Australia’s leading authorities on merino sheep will be the special guest at the final shearing of the MSD AGVET Merino wether
trial in Central Otago on Tuesday. He is Mr Gordon McMaster who runs the Wyreema Stud at Hay in the heart of the Riverina wool growing district in New South Wales. Mr McMaster is well known for his outspoken views of Merino breeding and management, and is regarded as one of Australia’s most experienced, knowledgeable and respected Merino sheep personalities. & On Wednesday Mr McMaster will address a meeting in Christchurch open to farmers and people interested in the sheep industry. The meeting will be held at the selling centre at the Addington showground and will start at 3 p.m.
