Today’s New Zealand forecast:ln the north and west of the North Island, cloudy with occasional showers; fine elsewhere apart from showers over the western ranges; showers in the west of the South Island and fine in the east; strong or gale-force westerlies in the south. Canterbury, Marlborough: Mostly fine at first but a south-westerly change developing tonight. Nelson, Buller, Westland: Fine in Nelson, except for showers in the western ranges; south-westerlies and rain elsewhere. Tomorrow: A south-westerly flow with showers in most districts. Extended range forecast to Monday. South Island: South-westerlies and showers in all districts; fine periods in the north.
