Omni keeps cat in bag

PA Auckland Shareholders of Omnicorp Investments were yesterday given few details of the plans of Swissbased Omni Holding Ag, the majority shareholder. Omni Holding holds 53 per cent of Omnicorp, having bought Chase Corp’s stake for $83.75 million.

Representatives of Omni Holding said they hoped to decide as quickly as possible what to do with Omnicorp’s smaller investments, such as the Strathmore group. “It’s in our interests just as much as the minority shareholders that we get through it this time,” said Mr Andrea Egger of Geneva-based Inspectorate Finance Sa. He said, Omni Holding would have to rely very much on the local people who had been handling the complex Strathmore affair.
