PA Levin Levin police fear someone maybe lying dead or injured in south-east Levin after a bizarre discovery during the search for the attackers of a woman in the town yesterday morning. Police mounted an extensive house-to-house search of the area after an attempted JT sault on a woman. Inspec tor Dale Smeaton said that during the search a note covered witn. £1 fo»Ked like fresh
blood, with a single human hair stuck to it, was found. He said the woman was attacked at 7.30 a.m. yesterday as she was having a shower, but she escaped injury'. Two youths, aged under 14, who had absconded from Kohitere Home on Monday night, are helping the police with their inquiries. But in the meantime police are left with the mystery of the blood- ' covered $2O note.
