Spiteri returns
Mr Gorg Spiteri, a former Christchurch restaurant owner, has retained his 50 per cent interest in the George Hotel, and is back helping run the business. Mr Spiteri said yesterday that in November he had agreed to sell his interest in the hotel to his partner, the Gillman
Group, after another party had indicated that they were interested in the hotel. But the prospective buyer did not complete the deal, and Mr Spiteri resumed his 50 per cent stake. Mr Spiteri said he had a management contract with the hotel
