FCL approval

The Commerce Commission has given its approval for FCL subsidiary, Fletcher Construction, to acquire up to 100 per cent of Kupe Group. The managing director of Fletcher Construction, Mr John Hood, said the approval “did not necessarily mean Fletcher Construction

would make an offer for all or any of the Kupe Group.” However, Fletcher was one of a number of interested parties considering Kupe and had applied for Commission approval in advance so that there would not be a delay in obtaining consent should the company decide to proceed further.
