Swim coach resigns
Hisashi Inomata, the chief coach of the highly successful New Zealand swimming team at the Edinburgh Commonwealth Games Hast year, has resigned as head coach for the Seoul Olympics next year. Mr Inomata was appointed coach of /the Olympic team In April. He has been coaching In Hong Kong since euriy this year, but was expected to return to New Zealand at the end of a one-year contract - Mr David Sargeant the executive-director of the New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association, said yesterday that Mr Inomata had Informed the
association that he will be remaining in Hong Kong next year. ■ The swimming committee of the N.Z.A.SX has Informed the New Zealand Swimming Coaches* hopes to make an appointment at its meeting nest month. • A New Zeeland team of up to six swimmers .will, compete in a Grand Prix circuit in Australia In January.
