Education centre opens
The Three Rs were the election focus for education but the three Cs would be a focus of the new Canterbury Education Centre, the centre’s director, said this week. Mr Tony Mander said part of the centre’s task would be to respond to change and challenges in teaching, and to help in improving teacher com-
petency. - / The centre was officially opened on Wednesday. The $300,000 centre, at Christchurch Teachers College, will publish school resources, and be a meeting place for teachers. It includes seminar and computer rooms.
