Lengthy spell for Crowe

The Leithfield apprentice Katy Crowe could be sidelined for up to twelve weeks with the injuries she suffered in a race accident at Riccarton last Saturday. The apprentice dislocated and fractured an ankle which had screws inserted when she was treated in hospital. “Apart from the leg injury she is 100 per cent but it was a bit of a mess and will keep here out for a good while,’’ her employer Nell Coulbeck said.

"She is keen to return to race riding when the injury mends.’’
