Tour coach commissioned

A new generation of tour coaches was “merely a set of scribbles on a tour brochure” last February, said the product manager of Mount Cook Landlines, Mr Tim Hunter. The first of the $300,000 coaches was built at the Mount Cook Denning factory at Hornby and will begin its life on the roads today. The keys for “Miss Waitangi” were handed over to the Tasman tour operator, Australian Pacific, which will charter the coach, at a ceremony on Monday evening. Another three newgeneration coaches are already under construction for Australian Pacific.
