Sheep and lamb prices fall again

Sheep and lamb prices fell again this week in spite of small yardings at the Addington Saleyards. The drop reflected the lower rates in the meat schedules and a lack of competition among buyers: ' r Cattle prices remained similar to last week, but failed to improve with a small yarding. Prime lambs Lamb prices began pt $4 to $5 below last week’s rates, but recovered slightly toward the end of the sale of finish about $3 back, in spite of a much smaller yarding. The prices reflected the lower values in the lamb schedule, the closing of one of the freezing works, and a drop in pelt prices.
