1987 wines released
The Glesen brothers, (from left) Theo, Marcel, and Alex, with a bottle of their 1987 Fume Blanc at a launching of the GiesenS Wine Estate 1987 wines. The label of the fume blanc features a painting, “Still Life with Apricots,” by New Zealand artist, Evelyn Page. It is one of only two wines in the Glesen range to Jiave paintings on the labels. The Giesen’s recently received permission to use a painting by another
New Zealand artist, “The Verandah,” by Olivia Spencer Bower, on a Cabernet Sauvignon. Mr Theo Glesen said the paintings were on the labels of the estate’s Sremium wines. It was oped that next year the range would be expanded to Include Chardonnay and plnot noir.
