Goliath income
The Hokitika-based gold extractor, Goliath Mining Co, Ltd, has reported an income of $505,620 during the first three months of 1987.
Exploration costs during this period when 765 field ounces were recovered, were $90,146 while depreciation and the writing ‘ off of licences cost Goliath $344,791.
With the granting of two new mining licences and six new prospecting licences, the company now has 10 dredges on the West Coast.
Goliath expects to extract 10,000 field ounces of gold during 1987.
