Appeal for produce under way

PA Tauranga Pantry goods such as preserves, jams, pickles and sauces are wanted for people who lost their own supplies in the Bay of Plenty earthquake.

Archdeacon Michael Smart, of Tauranga’s Holy Trinity Church, said yesterday the Anglican church in western Bay of Plenty, Rotorua and Taupo, was running an appeal for this type of produce. It was planned to make deliveries on March 21, mainly to people in Edgecumbe and Te Teko. The Katikati Lions are moving into the area around Edgecumbe to help store water supplies on farms.

The club was offering the services of farmer members.
