Army exercise
Sir,—ln reply to Jack Bevan’s query (Februaiy 28) as to what New Zealand can do now to prevent domination by outsiders into New Zealand if we were to survive a nuclear war, yes, we can do something — establish a very strong and very stable foundation for New Zealand politics and people. Domination by another can only occur when those who are threatened do nqt have a strong foundation. As New Zealanders, we must an firmly decide right now what it, is we want of the society in which we live and what direction we want it to continue to move in. I suggest that an individual’s self-responsibility is the best weapon he has.—Yours, etc.,
MARIE GREEN. March 1, 1987.
