Dwarf dropped from test team
NZPA-AMP Sydney The human projectile, Wee Robbie — the world’s first dwarf to compete in organised dwarf-throwing — has been dropped from the Australian dwarf-throwing test team.
He has been replaced by Brisbane’s reserve dwarf, Trev the Dev, who will join the thrower, David Berry, in the controversial three-test series against England next week. \e serie is the first t<
The series is the first to be played in Australia and is organised and promoted by “People” magazine.
The magazine’s editor,
David Naylor, said he was disappointed Robbie had been dropped from the Australian team. “But Robbie’s failure to turn up for training this week has forced us to drop him in favour of Trev the Dev,” Mr Naylor said.
Mr Naylor said Trev, aged 23, was undergoing intensive flight training for his clash with the more experienced English dwarf, Lenny the Giant.
