Mr Roy Strange
The principal of Lincoln High School, Mr Roy Strange, died in Christchurch on Thursday evening. He was 58.
Mr Strange had been principal of Lincoln High School since 1970. Before that he was head of the mathematics department at Burnside High School for 10 years. He had previously taught at Greymouth High School for nine years.
He was president of the Christchurch Principals’ Association when he died. He was also a committee member of the Canterbury Mathematics Teachers’ Association, of which he had previously been president In 1983 Mr Strange won a Woolf Fisher travelling fellowship.'; ' - He is survived by his wife, three sons, and a daughter. ?
