Govt sent ‘swinging’
PA Nelson National leads Labour in the Government-held Tasman seat, according to a public opinion poll held by the “Nelson Evening Mail” newspaper. The poll reveals a swing in support away from Labour to the National Party, which has
identified Tasman as a marginal seat it intends to win at next year’s General Election. But the poll showed Labour retaining solid support and a high proportion of undecided voters. The . newspaper telephoned 476 people last Saturday.
