Singers in the running

Six Christchurch singers have entered for the Dame Sister Mary Leo Scholarship for singers for 1986. The national competition is for up-and-coming opera singers. It is named after the noted singing teacher. The Christchurch entrants are Andrew Dailey, Simon Kane, Sarah Bell, Teddy Rhodes, Phillipa Mcßride, and Shelly Spang. They will audition this evening at the State Trinity Centre.
