Invesco sells to Smart
PA Wellington Invesco Group, Ltd, said it has sold 1.73 million Williams Property Holdings options to the Smart Group. Earlier this year, Smart purchased Invesco’s 20 per cent stake in Williams Property Holdings before bidding for 100 per cent of the company’s shares. Invesco’s chairman, Mr lan Ward, said his company had realised a capital profit of $1.4 million on the sale of the options.
Added to the $5.4 million capital profit earlier realised through the sale of the Williams head shares, Invesco had now taken capital profits totalling $6.8 million from its Williams interests. Mr Ward said Mr Brian White had resigned as an Invesco director, following the sale by Bexley Corporation of its majority shareholding.
