Bendon a little behind
PA Auckland Trading results of Bendon Industries, Ltd, in the first three months of this year are in line with the corresponding period a year ago, says the chairman, Mr A. T. Gibbs. However, he told the annual meeting in Auckland that the figures were slightly behind budget. He explained that the reason was not lack of demand or lower sales, but rather a shortage of staff. The group was confronted with difficulties, he said, in maintaining staff numbers at the levels needed to keep up with the necessary’ production.
