Public Notices WAITAKI CATCHMENT COMMISSION AND REGIONAL WATERBOARD WAITAKI CATCHMENT - FIRE PERMITS 1987 SEASON PURSUANT to Section 14 of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, and Clause 8 of the Soli Conservation Regulations 1945, no per-* son shall in that land area under the jurisdiction of the Waitaki Catchment Commission light an open fire before obtaining a permit to bum from the Commission, unless otherwise specifically exempted by the Commission. Those areas requiring a permit are delineated on a map held in the offices of the Commission and other local fire authorities. Farmers and others wishing to burn tussock grassland and other vegetation during 1987 in those areas where permits to burn are required, are reminded that written applications must be forwarded to the undersigned by October ~31, 1986.
