Fendalton Road

Sir, —The possibilities of danger to life and limb must be immense when one visualises the widening of Fendalton Road to take four lanes of traffic. Persons responsible for their aged folk, young children, old folk living alone, must be feeling very anxious. It is obvious the road needs upgrading and new channelling, similar to Riccarton Road, but any plan that endangers the life of residents should not be tolerated.—Yours, etc.,
