Stolen clothing recovered
The Christchurch police have recovered clerical garments and other clothing taken from a men’swear shop in Colombo Street earlier this month. Among the items of clothing taken from Mahar and O’Keefe were 15" clergymen’s shirts and several black coats for priests. More than 100 rugby jerseys and 40 woollen jerseys also were taken. A police spokesman said that most of the stolen property had been recovered. A man, aged 31, appeared in the District Court yesterday charged with burglary. The police are talking to another man about the break-in.
