M.E.D. to raise $2.5M
■ M.E.D. electricity works costing $2.5 million will be funded by loan this year. Provision has been made in the department’s budget for raising loans for the works.

Three separate loans will be raised — $500,000 for underground cabling and switchyard in Bromley and Pages roads, and $1 million for each of the underground conversions and the extension to the electricity system. The loans will be raised as soon as possible.
