Soccer leader five points up
Glenbyre Tavern is five points clear in the Sunday soccer league’s first division after its 5-2 win over Prince of Wales at the week-end. DB Imperial widened its lead in the second division by beating its closest rival, Woolston Foundry B. Pip Forer scored six times for Ham in a third division match. Burncastle leads that division from Dux de Lux B, while Christchurch Transport Board holds a three-point advantage in the fourth division over Vision Aluminium.
