New N.Z.R.U. president

PA Wellington Mick Pittaway, of the West Coast, will replace Horowhenua’s Sonny Sciascia as president of the New Zealand Rugby Football Union this month. Mr Pittaway is the only nomination for president

in the list released today. He first rose to rugby fame as a flanker in the 1946 Southland Ranfurly Shield team. The long-serving union chairman, Ces Blazey, will retire at the meeting.
