Burglars in $9500 raid
Burglars stole about $9500 in cash and credit card vouchers from the Pancake Palace on Sunday night. A police spokesman said the thieves forced a second-floor window of the premises at 633 Colombo Street to gain entry.
While searching the office the offenders found the key to the safe, the spokesman said.
Staff had left the premises about midnight on Sunday and discovered the burglary when they returned at 8.30 a.m. yesterday.
