Judo pair selected
Two South Island judo players, Kevin O’Connor, of Christchurch, and Craig Monaghan, of Dunedin, have been selected to represent New Zealand at the world junior championships in Rome from April 11 to 13. . O’Connor is the South
Island junior open men’s champion and he finished runner-up in the national senior under 71kg championship. Monaghan is the national junior men’s open title-holder and New Zealand junior under 65kg champion. Both men are aged 20 and have gained black belts.
