Organisation file handy

Next time you want any information about an organisation, try Cinch at the Canterbury Public Library. Cinch is a computerstored file of Christchurch organisations, which is regularly updated. Contact names, addresses and telephone numbers are listed for each organisation, and often a brief description of aims, activities or hours of operation. You can use Cinch by phoning the Central City, Papanui, Spreydon, New Brighton or Shirley libraries or calling to have a look at Cinch yourself. Printouts can be obtained of organisations in any area of the city or those involved in a speci-

in Canterbury,” shows how to get started in a wide range of outdoor activities. Newsletters come in and go out. A newsletter board keeps visitors informed of events in local clubs and organisations. “Outdoor Recreation News” is published every two months by the centre and keeps members and subscribers abreast of events in Canterbury. The centre is a good example of co-operation between outdoor recreation groups in Canterbury and is a must for anyone interested in the outdoors.
