S.P.C.A. given pet food
PA Auckland Pet food valued at more than $12,000 has been given to the Auckland branch of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in the last three weeks, says an S.P.C.A. spokesman. The branch president, Mrs Mary Walker, said yesterday, “The public of Auckland have been marvellous to us this year; we are delighted.”
She said that there were up to 7000 cans of food and an unknown quantity of animal biscuits, mostly for cats and dogs. In addition, about $l4OO was given to the branch.
