India poised
NZPA-AAP Melbourne India had taken a vicelike grip on the second cricket test against Australia at stumps on the fourth day at the Melbourne Cricket Ground yesterday.
When play finished, Australia was 228 for eight with captain, Allan Border, on 98 and tail-ender, Bruce Reid, on 11. Australia scored 262 in the first innings and India 445, a lead of 183 on the first innings. Australia is just 45 runs ahead with only two secondinnings wickets in hand.
