A mother caracal lynx looks over her two kittens in the Los Angeles Zoo in California.. Sometimes called the Persian lynx, it is said to be among the most intelligent wild cats in the world. The cat, distinguished by its long pointed ears, is easily tamed and has been trained to catch deer and large birds in parts of India.
