p A Wellington The apprentice, Tony Allan, was fined $l5O for careless riding on Twelve Gauge in the Horowhenua Cup at the Otaki Maori Racing Club’s meeting on Saturday. Twelve Gauge was found to have badly checked Ten Winks 500 m from the finish.
King Arthur was disqualified from fifth place in the Otaki Bargain Handicap when rider, J. Archer, weighed in 0.75 kg light The permissible leeway is ,skg. No charge was laid against the rider.
